Below is a list of the Area Agency on Aging, Region One's programs currently accepting new clients
Adaptive Aids – provides glasses for seniors 60 years of age and older who are under 150% of the federal poverty level.
Benefits Assistance Program - provides counseling on Medicare options and helps resolve issues with Medicare.
Caring Circles – volunteers provide companionship to seniors 60 years and older to reduce social isolation.
DOVES - provides domestic violence prevention counseling to victims of late life domestic violence.
elderCONNECT – provides a no-cost smart tablet and in-home training on the tablet to reduce social isolation.
elderSHOP -provides grocery shopping and grocery home delivery to seniors 60 years and older.
ElderVention Clinical Services - provides in-home and virtual counseling for homebound seniors.
EMPOWER - an in-home program to prevent elder mistreatment by empowering seniors to build skills in five key life areas.
Hoarding Therapy Program - provides therapy and support groups for seniors who would like support around hoarding behavior.
Legal Assistance - provides legal assistance and legal resources for seniors.
Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program - provides advocacy for residents in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities. Also provides education on assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities.
Medical Chaperone Program - provides rides to medical procedures for seniors 60 years of age or older when someone is required to be with them to sign them out.
RX Matters - provides education on medication misuse/abuse and medication disposal envelopes so that seniors can safely dispose of their medication.
SAIL (Senior Adult Independent Living) - provides case management, home delivered meals, light housekeeping, personal care, and adult day health care to homebound seniors and adults with disabilities who have a physical disability that prevents them from completing the service requested.
Family Caregiver Respite Care - Provides respite care to family caregivers caring for a loved on 24/7.
Trualta - is an online personalized, skills-based training platform for family members caring for aging loved ones living at home.
